"Embracing the Goddess" to be held at the WEA (Adelaide) in October

I am ecstatic to be able to announce that the WEA (Worker's Education Association) here in Adelaide will be running the first of what I hope will be a number of Goddess orientated workshops with "Embracing the Goddess" to take place on Saturday, 19 October 2013.

About the Workshop
From the ancient temples of Malta, Egypt, Turkey and Crete; to the sacred springs and mountains of Ireland and Britain; from the Hindu temples to the modern sanctuaries being established all around the world today, the concept of the Goddess, the Divine Feminine, has never truly been forgotten.

This workshop aims to bring the ancient worship of the Goddess into the modern age for those women who would like to learn more about the feminine aspect of the Divine that dates back to Palaeolithic times (over 32,000 years ago).

From the overwhelming archaeological evidence, ancient practices and beliefs are re-interpreted for the modern age, with practical ways being shared as to how the Goddess was be reconnected with regardless of our own religious and/or spiritual beliefs.

There was once a time when we stood as one with the earth.
We were in tune with the ebbing and flowing of the lunar tides.
We danced to its sacred beat for it echoed our own.

Time: Saturday, 19 October 2013 (9:30am to 4:00pm)

Cost (includes notes):
Standard $50.00
Discount: $45.00

Great Goddess Isis

Great Goddess Isis

Exhortation of Isis

You are She in the dust of whose feet is the hosts of Heaven,
Whose body encircles the Universe,
Who turns the Earth in its orb,
Who gives light to the Sun,
Who rules the World.

You tread death underfoot.
To Thee, the stars are responsive,
To Thee the seasons turn and the Gods rejoice
And the elements are in subjugation.

You are She that is the natural Mother of all things,
Mistress and governor of all elements,
The initial progeny of worlds,
Chief of Divine powers,
Queen of Heaven,
Principle of all the Gods celestial and the light of Goddesses.

At Your will are disposed the planets of the air,
The wholesome winds of the seas
And the silences of the unseen world.
