Devotional Services

Services and healing circles are held at The Goddess House on the second Tuesday evening of each month, from 7.30pm to approximately 9.00pm.  These services are open to both men and women who feel the call of the Goddess, the Divine Feminine, and the God, the Divine Masculine, as the consort and beloved.

As the act of devotional service is not all that commonly experienced within our modern ceremonies and rituals, the following is a brief outline of what will happen during a service at The Goddess House.  The Priestess in Residence will be at hand to help guide anyone through the opening devotions:
  • Upon entry to the sacred space, please remove your shoes at the door.  Bags and jackets can be placed on the table to the right of the building.  Under the window to the right, spring water and cups will be found.
  • Approach the altar with a sense of sacredness and place upon it any offering*  to the God and the Goddess that you may have brought with you - these can be shells, flowers, crystals, a rock, petition (request), poem.
  • Upon the altar some sacred anointing oil is made available for anyone wishing to anoint themselves.  This anointing oil has been specifically made by the Priestess in Attendance for use during these devotional services.  Care has been taken to ensure that it can be applied to the skin without causing irritation.  A simple devotional affirmation will also be made available for those who wish to recite something.
  • Light  a candle to connect you with the Goddess and Her beloved.
  • To the left of the altar (in the east), pieces of parchment paper is made available for anyone wishing to leave a petition (request/prayer) to the God and the Goddess.  These are then to be folded and placed in the bowl to be burn towards to end of the service.

Any offerings left are specifically kept for the Goddess and Her beloved God, and are placed in a special box that is positioned in front of the altar at each service.  The only exception are organic offerings which are placed under the libation tree (located to the right of the building and near the sacred circle).

Once you have completed your personal greeting, please take a seat and sit in quiet contemplation until all attendees have arrived.  Rarely do we spend time these days to be silent, to calm and still our inner thoughts.  At the beginning of each service, The Goddess House offers all attendees this special time to help filter out the outside world, even for a brief while.

The service will commence with the ringing of the singing bowl, where the first sacred song of the Divine Feminine will be sung, allowing all attendees to open themselves to the Great Goddess.    This will then be followed by a song of praise and honour of the Divine Feminine through Her various aspects, and Her Beloved Consort, the Divine Masculine, the God.
The Priestess in Residence will lead attendees in a meditation that will be focused around a particular theme.  The proposed themes for 2012 are:

10 July 2012 - The Bone Mother and the Child of Winter
14 August 2012 - Bast and Anubis (Egyptian)
11 September 2012 - Maiden of Spring and the Young Stag God
9 October 2012 - Green Tara and the Buddha
13 November 2012 - The Sacred Union
11 December 2012 - Solar God and Goddess.

Energy raising will then take place which will be followed by a healing circle being performed for those in need and the burning of any petitions to the Great Goddess and Her Beloved God.
The service will conclude with more songs of praise that are offered up as a way of acknowledging our personal connection with the God and Goddess before the sacred circle is opened.

The words to all the chants used within The Goddess House services are freely provided to all attendees.
The cost of each service is only $10.00 (including notes).

Please contact the Priestess in Residence for the address as The Goddess House is located at the rear of a private residence in Parafield Gardens, 20 minutes north of Adelaide's CBD.

Great Goddess Isis

Great Goddess Isis

Exhortation of Isis

You are She in the dust of whose feet is the hosts of Heaven,
Whose body encircles the Universe,
Who turns the Earth in its orb,
Who gives light to the Sun,
Who rules the World.

You tread death underfoot.
To Thee, the stars are responsive,
To Thee the seasons turn and the Gods rejoice
And the elements are in subjugation.

You are She that is the natural Mother of all things,
Mistress and governor of all elements,
The initial progeny of worlds,
Chief of Divine powers,
Queen of Heaven,
Principle of all the Gods celestial and the light of Goddesses.

At Your will are disposed the planets of the air,
The wholesome winds of the seas
And the silences of the unseen world.
